Almost in every Youtube video or course or article or even shows or Movies, you would have come across something along the lines of “I made this mistake when I started doing this, don’t be me.” One thing these people don’t understand, or maybe forgot or probably never realised is that you cannot have that knowledge without those Failures. The only exception that I have found till now is Tiago Forte where he says something like collecting a bunch of useless articles to capture almost everything you encounter, essentially duplicating the internet in your notes, is a phase. Anything anyone says will not help you get past it. The only way to overcome that is to do it, collect bunch of random articles, let your inbox overflow and when it proves to be a hindrance, when you can’t find what you are looking. You will realise what is junk and what is worthy. You will realise it only after than. There is no way for you to sidestep this.

act before you feel the confidence. Act before you can give yourself the assurance that it will not fail. It is like the story in Alchemist you have to make the journey to know where the treasure is. You cannot have that knowledge without the journey or the action.

Another thing, when you try to form this perfect action plan before you start something basic, we tend to build grand action plans - systems, and these system almost always prove to be flawed or impossible to implement. So you should always try to start with a simple system, of what you need now and not what you might need in the future and start with and add to the system as the need arises, see Gall’s Law.

Learning through your actions and failures is much cheaper than waiting for perfection so that you could start.
