Why this Digital Garden?
Randomly at times, I would think of something amusing and interesting, At least it would appear so at first. Sometimes I will think them on my own, other time I would have time stumbled upon them from Books, or Podcasts or some blogs. And later, occasionally I would stumble upon something very similar, and all I have then is the meta-memory and not the actual memory.
I have started to write them down, so I can connect those different ideas and can create something on my own.
If you’re thinking without writing, you only think you’re thinking. LESLIE LAMPORT
Another reason, If we don’t write our thoughts down, we will never knows the gaps in our ideas. We will be so confident that we have understood an idea, but when it is time for us to convey that to a friend, we will find ourselves unable to form that out into actual sentences.
A more detailed account can be found in Why I started writing mini Essays.
The notes in this cosmos use 3 different status to indicate the maturity of the notes, Nebula, main-sequence star, wormhole. These are based on astrophysics and how stars form from nebula cloud. See On The maturity system for more information.
I have named this as cosmos, and used a space theme because my name is Prabanjan, and in Tamil it is a synonym to the Galaxy or the universe and cosmos sounded better than Galaxy or Universe.
So this Digital Garden true to its name will contain every fleeting interest I have (not every, but the ones that I manage to put into my vault.) and many might be just one or two sentences or bullet points, that might evolve into a mini essay, with the same probability of Nebula evolving into a Star.
